What is Gynecomastia and How to Get Rid of It?

If you want to learn how to get rid of gynecomastia, then you are in the right place.

Generally speaking, gynecomastia refers to a man’s chest that swells and resembles a woman’s breasts. And according to research, an average 30% of men experience this condition.

Causes

The main cause of gynecomastia is the hormonal imbalance that occurs when male hormones are lower than female hormones (estrogen) in the body- which means that male breasts are exposed to less testosterone and more to the female hormone. Eliminating the source of estrogen and increasing the amount of raw materials your body needs to produce testosterone can correct these hormonal imbalances.

Puberty is also by far the most common cause of men’s breasts, and half of adolescent boys suffer from gynecomastia. The condition persists for at least three to four years after the onset of puberty in men.

Further, for adults, the occurrence of gynecomastia peaks again between the ages of 50 and 69. At least 1 in 4 men in this age bracket experience this condition.

If this gynecomastia doesn’t improve on its own, and you feel embarrassed and sick of feeling self-conscious, you can consider taking actions to prevent or to get rid of this so-called “male boobs”.

Prevention & Treatment

  1. Maintain Your Normal Testosterone Levels

If your testosterone levels are normal, you can increase your values to get rid of your man boobs. Consider a low estrogen diet and testosterone booster supplementation such as T Serum. Lessen the consumption of dairy products and meat and avoid alcohol misuse.

     2.  Create A Fitness Plan

Most cases of men’s boobs are simply caused by too high body fat percentage and if you reduce your body fat percentage, your man boobs will disappear. If you do a lot of exercises such as running and your weight and eating habits are healthy, then your gynecomastia may gradually disappear.

     3.  Surgery

Surgery to remove male boobs usually involves liposuction of the excess fat, surgical removal of the excess glandular breast tissue. With this procedure, it is necessary that your surgeon    perform a proper physical exam of your breasts to confirm gynecomastia and rule out the suspicion of male breast cancer.

If you believe you have gynecomastia and want to discuss treatment options, be sure to seek out professional help. Consult your doctor and ask for the best options available.
